1/6/19 We went to build day at Mason High School We wired the motors, motor controllers, RoboRIO, WIFI router, Voltage Regulator, and Power converter We built the base of our robot and attached our motors and electronics board to the base We began a basic program on Visual Studio Code in Java programming language Had to download multiple different softwares onto the laptops and had to image the RoboRIO, so we didn’t have time to run our program
Goals for Tomorrow (1/7/19) Watch videos from past seasons to get design ideas Choose what aspects of the game we want to focus on practicing and using in competitions Come up with ideas for robot attachments we may want for the tasks were focusing on in the game Finish installing software onto our laptops Work on our basic driving program
1/7/19 Today we built our robot transport cart Built a tool transport cart Hung up TV Watched/studied past robot designs/games Hung up whiteboards Decided on priorities for the game All came up with different ideas to accomplish our main task - attaching hatch panels Voted on ideas for additional robot pieces off or group/partner sketches Named the robot - Dwight 2.0 Worked on installing software to get the robot running
Goals for Tomorrow (1/8/19) Start modifying the robot Start deciding the size for Dwight 2.0 Look up the build plans for the rocket and cargo ship Put ideas together - whiteboard - wood Assign parts of the manual to team members to read
1/8/19 Built our movable whiteboard so we have more space anywhere in the room to brainstorm new ideas Worked on trying to correct errors in the programming, build the robot code, and deploy it to Dwight 2.0 Derek and Gary created a 3D model in Solidworks and printed it on our 3D printer as a prototype for the robot attachment idea we voted on
Goals for Tomorrow (1/9/19) Continue analyzing and correcting program errors so we can build, deploy, and run our code on Dwight 2.0 Begin cutting down our robot and organizing our electronics panel
1/9/19 Derek and Gary’s 3D print was unsuccessful so they modified their design and began another print We add more code to our program and are getting closer to finishing our drive train program

Goals for Tomorrow (1/24/19) Work on Robot 3D print some modifications
1/24/19 Gary Printed Some 3D prints We started to build the frame of the robot
Goals for Tomorrow (1/26/19) Build onto Robot frame Work on programming
1/26/19 We attached the top part of the frame Alan Maier From the Vectors came in and helped us program tank drive We worked more on our program
Goals for Tomorrow (2/1/19) Build onto Robot Work on programming with no errors
February 2019
2/1/19 We decided to work on our Robot Friday to make up time we lost due to the snow days we had snow days we had during the week We finished cross bracing from the back of the robot to the top of the robot We were successful on programming our intake system motors
Goals for Tomorrow (2/2/19) Work On Intake Design 3D prints and print them Finish camera mount
2/2/19 Today we drilled and screwed on a pair of cross braces We taped our axle rod and put it on the robot Gary designed two 3D prints in Solidworks and they were printed successfully We have the camera mount all printed and ready to put on our robot We are putting our electrical back on our robot
Goals for 2/3/19 We hope to get our robot driveable and hopefully finish our robot so we can use the ball intake system
2/3/19 We also are starting to put together our intake system We met teams from the Jackson area We got our robot drivable and worked towards finishing our intake system We made great progress on our code and we tested our tank drive code and it was successful We had our programmer Tori’s dad put together our gearbox for our intake system he also helped us wire our intake system We also got our camera working
Goals for tomorrow (2/4/19) Design 3D print some wire clamps Work on bumpers Learn Java and how to program Pneumatics Brainstorm ways on how to get onto the habitat Work on are that lifts hatch
2/4/19 Designed 3D prints and printed several different sizes Put the light back on the robot after a teammate ran into something and it flew off Attached the switch to the robot Voted on sweatshirt and T-shirt designs and specified what size we want and what cut we want We made a more sturdier holder for our robots light
Goals for tomorrow (2/5/19) Finish red bumper Change a part for our intake system Design new camera mount Research lift and how to get onto the habitat
